Three small sites within Angkor Thom are the subjects of the photos in this gallery: the Leper King Terrace, the Elephant Terrace, and Preah Palilay temple. The two terraces, located at the center of the city, served as the foundations for pavilions that were erected during royal receptions. Preah Palilay was built as a Buddhist sanctuary, dating from the 13th or 14th century.
