The kingdom's principal temple, Wat Mahathat, was far from the only site of worship within the historic walled city of Sukhothai. The ruins of 25 other temples are found there, many of historical or architectural interest. And within the area surrounding the walled city are the ruins of still more temples dating from both the Khmer era and the later period of Thai independence from Angkor. Some of them may be seen in this and the following gallery.
For the sake of convenience when viewing on a mobile device, the images of these temples are divided into two galleries. This gallery has photos in a horizontal or landscape format, the other has those in a vertical format.
