Some of the sights we delight in seeing when visiting our local park, which we tend to do once a week, most weeks. A few of these photos were actually not taken at the park, however, but on the grounds where we live.
Yellow trumpet bush (Tecoma stans)
Heliconia (Heliconia psittacorum)
Bananas in the park
Purple wreath, a vine, also called queen's wreath or sandpaper vine
A gravity-defying lizard
Red ginger (Alpinia purpurata)
A surprise encounter! This guy apparently was AWOL from the park's zoo.
Orchids in the park
Our peregrinating friend again
Leaf of a banana plant
Gray pansy butterfly (Junonia atlites)
The park is named after and dedicated to the memory of Somdet Sri Nagarin, mother of the late king Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX.
